Who is Dignity Housing?

Dignity Housing is a non-profit organization established by formerly homeless people to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty confronting low-income and homeless families and individuals in Philadelphia.  Dignity Housing promotes their self-sufficiency by providing affordable rental housing with individualized social services, home ownership opportunities, assistance in pursuit of education objectives, workforce development and financial management assistance.

Since their inception, Dignity Housing has demonstrated success in providing both affordable housing and quality social service supports to nearly 2,000 adults and children throughout Philadelphia. They have been recognized by leaders in government and philanthropy, receiving awards and praise from the Fannie Mae Foundation, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The Enterprise Foundation, and The Center for Community Change and most recently the Preservation Alliance. In total, Dignity Housing has acquired, developed and rehabilitated 150 units of housing throughout the City of Philadelphia.

Maintaining Work Orders in PropertyBoss has allowed this non-profit business to increase productivity, streamline processes and improve communications with their workforce.

Previous to the PropertyBoss implementation, Dignity Housing was using Excel spreadsheets to track rents and subsidy payments. They have found PropertyBoss generates a cogent Rent Roll with accurate balances and they like the custom reporting capabilities. PropertyBoss has brought organization to their business and allowed the freeing up of resources. This allows them more time to attend to the more important aspects of their workday; the people they serve.
