Responsibilities include developing sales presentations, organizing sales events and providing reports to management from information gathered such as the market for new products, market trends, competition, and pricing strategies. A strong knowledge of print, e-mail and web advertising and PR techniques will be valuable. This position requires a dynamic, results-oriented individual who enjoys a wide variety of responsibilities and who can handle multiple activities simultaneously.  You will work closely with clients across the country to define and enhance our products.</p>
<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities include:</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>Develop Public Relations Strategy</em></strong>:  determine how to raise company profile in the industry through use of social media, website, guest speaking assignments, blogs, articles and press releases.<br />
<strong><em>Leadership in serving our clients</em></strong>: conduct customer surveys, assist in developing pricing models, monitor competition, track website usability, research markets, develop client marketing programs.<br />

<p>Alpha Property Management was founded in Greenville, SC, in 2007 when a local builder began placing renters in his growing inventory of new homes. In 2009, Carlos Tuazon and Jody Barber, who had been managing the properties for the builder, purchased the property management company and the rest is history!</p>
<p>“Throughout the years, we’ve met more local and out-of-state investors who were not happy with their property management companies and soon we started picking up more business through advertising, word of mouth and referrals,” says Tuazon.</p>
<p>Within two years, Alpha had grown beyond the utility QuickBooks alone could provide and began looking for a comprehensive software solution with full QuickBooks integration. After briefly using an ineffective software solution, Tuazon and Barber found PropertyBoss.</p>

<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p>
<p>Implementation Specialists work with clients via interactive web sessions and/or on-site sessions. They are responsible for managing clients and the training and implementation process. Implementation Specialists are integral to providing client training during the implementation process. Implementation Specialists are expected to quickly learn the PropertyBoss application and develop an understanding of the business and accounting challenges of the property manager.</p>
<p><strong>Roles and Responsibility include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Working with Software Solution Consultants to understand clients’ needs and develop a training plan to meet their requirements</li>
<li>Conducting interactive web training, typically in 1 to 2-hour blocks</li>
<li>Periodically traveling to conduct on-site training and implementation</li>
<li>Conducting quarterly classroom training using a pre-determined curriculum</li>
<li>Keeping abreast of the latest developments in our software solutions and QuickBooks</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Job Experience / Requirements:</strong></p>
<p>This position requires an individual who can effectively communicate business, accounting and application level concepts to clients with a wide range of business and technology experience. A strong understanding of accounting principles and the QuickBooks application as well as previous experience with software applications is required. Other required skills include effective time management and a strong desire to provide world-class support to clients. Previous teaching and/or software training experience preferred. Knowledge of the property management industry is ideal.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The holidays are a wonderful time of year for family gatherings and festivities shared with friends. Unfortunately, it’s also a prime time of year for thieves to try to cash in on the distraction of others.</p>
<p>News reports from <a href="http://www2.wspa.com/news/2011/oct/17/thieves-use-sticky-mouse-traps-target-apartment-co-ar-2565741/">South Carolina</a> and <a href="http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2010-11-04/news/fl-mcf-complexchecks-1028-20101104_1_rent-checks-drop-box-wachovia-bank">Florida</a> of thefts from rent payment drop boxes indicate thieves are getting even trickier (and stickier) in their quest for loot.</p>
<p>Pamela Vesper, J.D., C.R.E.I., an auditor / investigator with the N.C. Real Estate Commission, says most thefts she investigates from property management offices are inside jobs.</p>
<p>“Most of the embezzlements we see are done by bookkeepers who have no one watching over them,” says Vesper. “If some of the brokers had just been more proactive checking the mail and answering the phones, they could have avoided losing a lot of money.”</p>
<p>According to Vesper, there are some basic steps property management offices can take to discover and deter theft or fraud, including conducting background checks on all employees, bonding any employees who handle money, and completing monthly reconciliations of the books.</p>
<p>Here are the top 10 signs to detect if fraud may be occurring in your office:</p>
<ol>
<li>Excessive Non-sufficient Funds (NSF) and voided checks.</li>
<li>Calls from property owners complaining about late rent payments.</li>
<li>Lifestyle changes of employees.</li>
<li>Employees who never take vacation.</li>
<li>Excessive transfers from one account to another.</li>
<li>Unusual interest in the mail and/or telephones.</li>
<li>Checks for large, round figures.</li>
<li>Checks to unknown payees.</li>
<li>Checks mailed to post office boxes.</li>
<li>Missing bank statements or cancelled checks.</li>
</ol>
<p>In general, Vesper says owners, brokers and managers should follow the old “trust but verify” adage. And that includes keeping a close eye on all of your in-boxes!</p>
